Map projections

Every flat map of the Earth gives something up. Pick a projection by the surface it is cast onto and the property it keeps true. Drag the map to move its center and watch where the distortion goes.

The list follows ArcGIS Pro's supported map projections, leaving out a few the browser projection libraries here don't provide (Adams Square II, Aspect-Adaptive Cylindrical, Compact Miller, Tobler Cylindrical I and II, Wagner V, Winkel II, New Zealand Map Grid, IGAC Plano Cartesiano and Local). Coastlines from Natural Earth 1:110m (public domain) via world-atlas. Projection math from d3-geo, d3-geo-projection and d3-geo-polygon on a spherical Earth. Scale factors h, k, area and ω are computed numerically at each point on a unit sphere, so 1.00 means true scale. CRS codes are typical EPSG/ESRI examples; real datasets also fix a datum and parameters.
